This two-day event will start off on Monday afternoon with an introduction of our latest 3IT partners, new insights into the challenges, prospects and values of UHD, VR & AR. Furthermore, we offer a sneak peek into the new volumetric video studio at Fraunhofer HHI! The day will end with a casual get-together amidst all those new demos.
On Tuesday the summit will be dedicated to our 3IT projects 3DInMed and M3D. In the morning we want to share the great results that were achieved during the project term of 3DInMed, which is now coming to an end after two years. In the afternoon, the focus will be on M3D and we will present current project milestones.

VR NEXT: Join the Task Force on VR Technology, Content and Finance @ 3IT

reallifefilm international: Current VR Projects
Latest content: reallifefilm international is happy to announce that their "BMW i & Samsung Virtual Reality Experience" was awarded AutoVision Silver Winner 2017 during IAA in Frankfurt. For this project, reallifefilm international also received the Lumière award from the Advanced Imaging Society last December as well as the Annual Multimedia Award 2017. Immerse into the summer vibesof this year’s festival season: reallifefilm international's partner company INVR.SPACE captured scenes at some of the biggest German music festivals and concerts such as Rock am Ring, Parookaville and Wacken in Virtual Reality. African projects: INVR.SPACE and reallifefilm international continue their exciting journey to collaborate with artists, creatives and producers across the African Continent while looking back on impressive shootings for multiple projects in Morocco, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenia and Cameroon. INVR.SPACE will also host and curate the VR Cinema at Africa’s largest content market DISCOP in Johannesburg late October. Read more about the collaboration here.
Research & Development: reallifefilm international is excited to start working on the innovative research project “PersonVR” together with Fraunhofer HHI and Trotzkind. After having gained first experiences with early stage set-ups for volumetric capturing, reallifefilm international is sure that this technology will be the beginning of a new era. Fraunhofer HHI's department Vision & Imaging Technologies and the production companies and 3IT partners Trotzkind and reallifefilm international are happy to announce the kick off of their joint project "PersonVR". The objective of this collaboration is to develop an innovative 3D reconstruction and modeling process of real persons based on a multi-camera recording system. This new system aims at future film productions, walkable entertainment and infotainment experiences. The team is looking forward to the first test shootings that are going to take place during the next weeks. „PersonVR“ is managed by Investitionsbank Berlin in the ProFIT funding scheme that is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE) and the government of Berlin.
